Although most tooth extractions proceed without issues, complications can occasionally arise. A tooth may fracture during removal, or it may prove too complex to extract using routine techniques. In such cases, general dentists may not have the required surgical skills, and patients are usually referred to secondary care at a hospital.
Unfortunately, hospital referrals often come with long waiting times — sometimes several weeks or more. At Abbey Mead, we aim to reduce your wait and your discomfort by seeing patients for complex extractions within just 7 days of referral.
A complex or surgical extraction is needed when:
During a minor surgical extraction, Dr. Vivek Giddani carefully lifts gum tissue, removes any obstructing bone if necessary. He then extracts the problem tooth using expert techniques, ensuring maximum comfort and minimal healing time.
We are fully equipped to handle these procedures safely and efficiently right here in our clinic, avoiding the need for stressful hospital visits.
