Ann has a reputation for treating nervous patients and children, and enjoys cosmetic dentistry. She has extensive experience and training in all these areas. When not in the practice she enjoys spending time with her family, playing netball, travel, cooking and cuisine.

Teresa Ford

Dental Nurse
GDC No. 118979

Hi, my name is Teresa Ford. I have been a dental nurse for far too long; since the age of 16. I qualified in May 1996 and furthered myself with Radiography in September 1997 and Implantology in September 2005. I have been at Abbey Mead since October 1999. My family and 2 children take up all my social time.

Liset Hernandez

Trainee Dental Nurse

Jenni Seaney

Dental Hygienist
Dip Dent Hygiene London 2004
GDC No. 6535

Jenni started her dental career as a dental nurse studying at Guys Dental Hospital in 1987 and on qualifying, worked in the Maxillo-facial surgery department where she assisted many Royal Navy (RN) dental surgeons based in Central London. Eager for the challenges that only the armed forces could give, she joined the Royal Navy in 1989 to pursue a career as a RN dental nurse. She served at numerous shore based establishments from Plymouth to Portsmouth and as far as Rosyth. Promoted to Leading Hand, she was appointed practice manager but missed the interaction with patients and the “front line” of dental health. She left the RN in 2002 to study as a dental hygienist at Kings College Hospital, London. On qualifying she joined Bupa at their flagship dental surgery in Bank, City of London. Using her experiences from the Navy, she quickly developed her skills and knowledge as a hygienist and was involved in Bupa’s dental education scheme in 2016. She re-located with her family to Devon in 2017 and joined Abbey Mead dental practice in 2019.

Gemma Bowden

Practice Manager

Rebecca Westerman

Receptionist & Decontamination Assistant

Becky joined us as a receptionist & decontamination assistant in January 2021. She has previously never worked in dentistry and has found it an exciting and interesting journey, and has already learnt so much. She loves meeting and greeting the patients, making sure that they are at ease from the moment that they arrive into our practice. Becky enjoys being part of and seeing patients go through their treatment journey, she finds it a pleasure to witness the patient transformations.

Outside of work Becky is kept busy with her daughter especially on those school runs. They enjoy the outdoors, especially when they have Dartmoor on their doorstep. They also like to spend time with family, especially if a mini city break is involved! Becky finds time to relax in her gorgeous garden, pottering around attending to her vegetable patch.

Florence Hirons-Palmer

Flo joined us as a receptionist in February 2020 with almost 10 years of reception and admin experience in various industries with no particular experience in dentistry. She has been keen to learn all the different aspects around dentistry, with patient care at the forefront of her role. She takes great pride in making sure our patients arrive and leave with a smile!

Outside of work Flo spends the majority of her spare time with her two horse, Gem & Alfie who can occasionally be a little naughty. If she’s not riding, mucking out or doing DIY at the stables, you will still find her at the stables as there is always something to attend to. Alongside her love for all animals, Flo enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
